Matthew has more than 14 years of experience in taxation, working with individuals and their closely held businesses to provide high quality services in the areas of tax consulting, research, and compliance.
Prior to joining Bryars Tolleson + Whitton LLP, Matthew was a tax director with the Orange County office of Armanino LLP working with clients in the Private Client Advisors Group and the Real Estate Group. He was also elected to serve on Armanino’s Management Advisory Board, where he helped lead firm wide initiatives.
Matthew has worked extensively with high-net worth individuals, property management firms, entrepreneurs, and land developers. His experience includes providing tax services to entities such as, partnerships, limited liability companies, S corporations, C corporations, and trusts. He has also successfully represented clients before the Internal Revenue Service during examinations of their income tax returns.
Matthew earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting from California State University at Fullerton, and a Master of Science degree in Taxation from California State University at Fullerton. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the California Society of Certified Public Accountants.
